1. Overview
1.1 Purpose
This Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Parallel Journeys LLC (“Parallel Journeys”) and the individual or entity purchasing or accessing a membership (“Member”). This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions governing the Member’s participation in Parallel Journeys, a community dedicated to personal growth, self-discovery, creativity, and meaningful connection.
1.2 Membership Benefits
Membership benefits may include but are not limited to digital content, workshops, online and in person experiential events, and other community activities. Membership tiers, pricing, and benefits are described in the attached Membership Plan Summary Addendum, which forms part of this Agreement.
2. Membership Categories
2.1 Overview
Parallel Journeys offers multiple membership levels with varying access to content and events. The specific membership tier selected by the Member is documented in the attached Membership Plan Summary Addendum.
2.2 Membership Upgrades
Members may upgrade their membership to a higher tier at any time by completing a new Membership Plan Summary Addendum. Any cost savings associated with the higher tier will apply only from the date the upgrade takes effect. No refunds will be issued for dues that have already been paid prior to an upgrade.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment Schedule
Payments are due at enrollment and renew automatically according to the selected membership term. Members must maintain valid payment information on file.
3.2 Payment Failure
Failure to maintain valid payment information may result in suspension or termination of membership access.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation of Monthly Memberships
Members may cancel monthly memberships by providing thirty (30) days’ written notice. No refunds are issued for partial months.
4.2 Cancellation of Annual Memberships
Annual, prepaid memberships require thirty (30) days’ written notice. Members who cancel annual memberships early are eligible for a prorated refund for unused months beyond the thirty-day notice period.
5. Voluntary Participation
5.1 Participation
Members acknowledge that participation in all Parallel Journeys activities—including digital content, workshops, experiential outings, creative exercises, and community events—is entirely voluntary.
5.2 Assumption of Risk
Members assume full responsibility for their participation and personal decisions and acknowledge that they engage in all activities at their own risk.
6. No Professional Advice
6.1 Disclaimer
All content, workshops, podcasts, blog posts, videos, and community discussions provided by Parallel Journeys are for educational and inspirational purposes only. Such content is not intended as, and does not constitute, medical advice, mental health or therapy services, legal advice, or financial or investment advice. Members should seek guidance from qualified professionals regarding health, mental health, legal, or financial matters.
7. Hold Harmless and Waiver of Liability
7.1 Release and Assumption of Risk
Members agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Parallel Journeys, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of participation in membership activities, events, or use of content, including but not limited to claims of physical or emotional injury, loss of personal property, or negligence. Members acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation in membership activities.
8. Event Waivers and Participation Requirements
8.1 Requirement to Sign Waiver
Participation in all in-person events hosted by Parallel Journeys, LLC (“Organizer”) is contingent upon the Member signing a valid Event Waiver and Release Form prior to attending the event. Members who do not sign the required waiver will not be allowed to participate in in-person activities.
8.2 Incorporation of Waiver Terms
The Event Waiver and Release Form includes, among other provisions, the assumption of risk, release of liability, medical authorization, and acknowledgment of governing law. By signing this Membership Agreement, the Member acknowledges that signing the Event Waiver is mandatory for participation in all in-person events and agrees to comply with this requirement.
8.3 Voluntary Participation
Even with a signed waiver, all participation in in-person events remains voluntary, and Members assume all risks associated with their involvement, as further described in the Event Waiver.
9. Member Conduct
9.1 Conduct Expectations
Members agree to engage respectfully and uphold the values of authenticity, inclusion, and compassion.
9.2 Suspension or Termination
Parallel Journeys reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without refund for disruptive behavior, harassment, threats, or violation of community guidelines. Key expectations include, but are not limited to:
➤ Treating all members and staff with respect and courtesy
➤ Refraining from discriminatory, offensive, or harmful language or behavior
➤ Respecting the confidentiality of personal stories shared within the community
➤ Participating in events and discussions in good faith and with a spirit of collaboration
Members are encouraged to review the full Community Guidelines document www.ourparalleljourneys.com/Joinourcommunity/communityguidlines, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Ownership
All materials, merchandise, branding, content, and experiences provided by Parallel Journeys are the intellectual property of Parallel Journeys, LLC. Members may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or share content without written permission.
11. Governing Law
11.1 Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Colorado.
12. Acknowledgment of Agreement
By purchasing a membership, completing checkout, or electronically indicating acceptance of this Agreement, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions set forth herein.
If the membership is purchased on behalf of an organization or another individual, the purchaser represents and warrants that they have the authority to bind such entity or individual to this Agreement.
The Member confirms they have read and understood this Agreement, acknowledge the voluntary nature of participation, agree to the Hold Harmless and Waiver of Liability, and understand that Parallel Journeys does not provide professional advice.
